OUR STORY

How we became Amor

 

                  My name is Ta'Mara Wallace, and from about the time I was 21 up until the time I was 28 I was employed by a prestigious and exclusive grocery store. I started as a clerk , doing menial things such as pricing and re-stocking the floor with an assortment of rolls, pastries, and other baked goods.It was then I realized that my passion was to become a baker. I began to learn how to make fresh bread from scratch, manufacture ice cakes, prepare and decorate cakes, and pretty much everything else one can think of that goes on in a bakery.

                    Once my superiors took notice of work and the dedication that was put into it, my staus is the bakery was swiftly elevated, and I had my very own preperation area. My customer satisfaction rate became so high, that I thought it was time for me to branch out on my own. Which leads me to Cupcake Amor...

                     The philophosy I have on baking and the decorative work i do is that Decorating is not just a job or an optional part of the cake to be taken carelessly. It is a passion. A passion that comes from my inner-most being when I create. So a cookie, is no longer just a cookie, or a cake just a cake, but rather, an edible piece of me.
